The reason why I picked this book was that it belongs to a series and the catchy title and the cover page attracted me in the first sight. Initially I couldn't understand what the book might be about , maybe diseases or doctors , but when I started reading I was completely surprised with the story line.

THE DISEASED ONES by Author Danielle Harrington is the first book of the Hollis Timewire Series. The story is set in the year around 2647. The story starts and revolves around the protagonist Hollis Timewire  who is now 16 years old but is refused to give a citizenship. Why? Because she is a diseased one. In 2647 a person has to go through some tests to stay in a normal world and if they fail they are sent to some other place . Even after working hard and practicing the rules to become a perfect citizen , she fails.  She is forced to hide underground along with other diseased ones. Life was easier in 2647 but not for the ones having bio mark. Hollis had no idea what was going to happen with her. Doctors find her.

Story progresses and she comes in contact with several other characters in the book. She finds out about the myths and whatever the government was hiding. What happens next? What was going to happen with Hollis? Did she ever find out the truth? What happens at the end?

I found this book a bit similar to the Divergent series and loved it equally. This is one of the best story related to dystopian future. The end of the book is great. The characterisation is perfect. I loved the writing style of the author which kept me hooked until I completed reading. I wish I would have had the paperback version of the book but couldn't order due to the ongoing issue.  Highly recommended book.
