A Myna flies by Author Sidharth Kanattil is set in the mid 19th century which takes us in a journey to our country before Independence. It was 1850 and our country was being ruled by the East India company even if our country had a Mughal Emperor, Bahadur Shah Zaffar. At that time India wanted a new ruler but the East India Company took full advantage of the country's situation. They were trading  successfully and were earning more and more profits and at the same time the Indians were tortured and made slaves. As we proceed we notice that there are various characters in the book and each of them are well built.

The protagonist in the book is Amar Singh Chaudhary. The story starts with him when he asks a tribe to clear the land and after this the story takes various turns. 

You guys won't believe me but this is the author's debut novel and everything is just so flawless and perfect. Though the book is a long one but it didn't made me feel bored. The book came out to be a perfect amalgamation of politics, history thriller, dominance, suffering and adventure. The author has used very rich words to give depth to the story. I loved the writing style which kept me hooked until I finished the story and also left an impact on me. As we turn the pages we come across lot of mysteries and then there's no looking back. The story elevates to the next level with each chapter and the authors engaging narration will definitely grab your attention.   Highly recommended.
