Initially I was wondering what does the title "SPIES LIES & RED TAPE " actually would mean in this novel and this was the reason why I picked the book. It's a political thriller book mainly showcasing the political drama between India and Pakistan. The book basically begins with the conflict between the two countries giving in depth details which shows the hard work and research of the author in writing the book. Being someone who has limited knowledge of politics, the book has helped me a lot in knowing a variety of things in this field. The story is set at the time when our Prime Minister was Smt. Indira Gandhi. She took off from Islamabad and had to land in Delhi but her plane gets hijacked. She was there along with several other ministers. Was it actually a hijack or any political clash?
What a book it is !!!! Full of twist and turns. Reading the Book made me feel like I was watching a thriller movie but at the same time I was wondering how actually all these things must take place. How difficult a life is being among these people...! Risky isn't it? The book also describes about RAW and ISI secret spy agents which was one of the most interesting part. The book is an amalgamation of detective stories, armed forces, spies and many more . You are not just going to enjoy but also about to learn a lot by reading this book. Highly recommended.
